Our Lady’s Secondary School is proud to celebrate the success of Leila Daly from the Leaving Certificate class of 2024, who has been honoured with a prestigious UCD Entrance Scholars Award. These awards are presented to students who achieve an exceptional 560 points or more in their Leaving Certificate examinations, highlighting their hard work, diligence and commitment to academic excellence throughout their senior cycle.
Principal Mr. Kelly attended the awards ceremony, which took place on Friday, February 7th, at UCD O’Reilly Hall, to personally congratulate Leila on her impressive accomplishment. Speaking about the success, Mr. Kelly stated, "Leila was an exemplary student during her time at Our Lady’s, and we are immensely proud of her achievements. It is always inspiring to see our students strive for excellence and achieve their goals. Leila’s recognition by UCD is well deserved and stands as a testament to her dedication, resilience, and passion for growth and development. At our school, Leila was also heavily involved in the areas of music and drama to an extremely high standard and as a school we are committed to fostering an environment where students are encouraged to reach their full potential, and develop their skills, talents and interests inside and outside the classroom. Our entire school community is extremely proud of Leila and we wish her every success and happiness as she studies Midwifery at UCD and we have no doubt that she has the necessary skillset and characteristics to make the most of university life and to thrive in her future endeavours.’’
