Last Friday, August 23rd, marked a day of celebration at Our Lady’s Secondary School as students received their Leaving Certificate results, a testament to years of dedication and hard work. Principal Eddie Kelly expressed his pride in this year's achievements, stating, "We are absolutely delighted with this year’s Leaving Certificate results. All of our students, across various levels and abilities, have achieved outstanding outcomes."
Among the remarkable results, 18% of the student cohort achieved in excess of 550 points with 39 students achieving over 500 points and the school’s average CAO points came in at 453. In Leaving Certificate Applied, two students achieved the highest possible grade, a Distinction. As these students embark on the next chapter of their lives, they carry not only their academic achievements but also the values and qualities that define Our Lady’s Secondary School. These attributes will undoubtedly serve as the foundation for their future success, providing them with the resilience and confidence needed as they transition to higher education and the workforce. In addition to their academic achievements, the school also celebrates the significant contributions students have made to the school community through extracurricular activities and leadership roles. Over the past six years, their enthusiastic participation in various initiatives and activities has left a lasting impact on the school. Special recognition is also due to the dedicated teaching and support staff, whose unwavering commitment to the holistic growth and academic success of the students has been instrumental in these achievements. Their tireless efforts in guiding and nurturing the students have played a crucial role in the success of this year's Leaving Certificate class.
