Our school is delighted to celebrate the fantastic achievement of Transition Year student Emily McMahon, who has excelled in the Credit Union Art Competition. Emily was awarded 1st place at the Chapter Level and received Joint Merit at National Level in the 14–17 years category. Emily’s incredible talent and success were recognised at Croke Park's National Prize Giving Ceremony on Sunday, 26th January.
Emily’s Art teacher, Ms. McArdle, expressed immense pride in Emily’s work, stating: “We are all so proud of Emily. She is a hardworking and dedicated student with a great interest in art. Her natural flair and creativity shine through in her work, and it’s wonderful to see her talent being recognised at this level.”
Principal Mr. Kelly also shared his congratulations: “We are delighted for Emily, and this wonderful achievement adds to the fantastic success our school has enjoyed in the Credit Union Art Competition in recent years. We are proud to support the Castleblayney Credit Union Art Competition, and it is fantastic to see Emily’s talent and ability showcased on such a prestigious stage. Emily’s success is a testament to her dedication, creativity, and passion for art, and she has brought immense pride to our school community.’’
