The Board of Management of Our Lady’s Secondary School is delighted to announce a significant development in relation to the upgrade of their school facilities. Thanks to the generous funding allocated by the Department of Education's Summer Works Programme in 2022, the school is embarking on an extensive heating upgrade project. With an impressive budget in excess of €800,000, this project will ensure that the existing part of the school is equipped with a state-of-the-art heating system, aligning with the specifications of the new 13 classroom extension, which is scheduled for completion at the end of this month. Semple & McKillop, renowned Mechanical and Electrical Consultants have been entrusted with overseeing this vital project and their expertise and knowledge of the school through previous projects make them the perfect partner to ensure the successful implementation of the heating upgrade. Working hand in hand with Semple & McKillop, Demesne Electrical, have been selected as part of the tendering process to carry out the necessary installation and construction work.
Principal Mr. Eddie Kelly expressed his enthusiasm regarding the heating upgrade project, stating, "We are thrilled to have received this generous funding from the Department of Education's Summer Works Programme. This investment will enable us to provide a warm and comfortable environment for our students and staff, supporting their wellbeing and promoting an optimal learning experience. With the completion of the new 13 classroom extension just around the corner, the heating upgrade project is yet another testament to the school's continuous pursuit of excellence and its commitment to providing modern, first-class facilities. We look forward to the successful implementation of the heating upgrade project and eagerly anticipate the positive impact it will have on the entire school community’’.
