Nine sets of twins were among the 151 First Year students who started Our Lady’s Secondary School at the end of August, a very special day for the students and the school.  This isn’t the first time the school has welcomed twins as First Year students, but nine sets in one year is a new record. Speaking at the school during the week Principal Mr. Kelly said ‘welcoming nine sets of twins in First Year will definitely go down as a day to remember for our school. It is certainly a most unique situation, to have nine sets of twins joining us this year is very special indeed. Given the close relationship that twins generally have, we always give them the option to stay in the same class when they enrol and so far, most have taken us up on this offer. Though there is much that the twins may share, as a school we look forward to developing their many talents and meeting their unique and individual needs. We look forward to supporting these students and their peers in First Year as they continue their post primary education at Our Lady’s. The nine sets of twins that started at Our Lady’s are: Nina & Ruby Daly, Cara & Erin Hamill, Leah & Sophie Hughes, Grainne & Mark Hughes, Cian & Darragh Mc Adam, Grace & Naoimi Mc Caughey, Cathal & Ciara Mc Geehan Duffy, Macy & Malachy Treanor, Kieran & Ronan Ward
