Congratulations to Our Lady’s equestrian interschool’s team who won the much-coveted league final in Killossery last Sunday.

The action packed interschool’s team competition league final got off to a winning start for the equestrian team representing Our Lady’s Secondary School on Sunday 10 February at Killossery Lodge Stud, Co Meath. The course while challenging proved no test for Our Lady’s team with all team members delivering a clear round with no faults. Our Lady’s team of Gráinne Lacey (Captain), Ellianna Fox, Bronagh Traynor, Eimear Meegan and Sophie Moore, under the guidance of their coach, renowned international show jumper James Kiernan and Chef d’Equipe, Ms O’ Hanrahan, proved consistent as each crossed every pole without a fault, delivering four clear rounds for the team. So good was their performance in this competition that no other team met the grade and with no challengers the four young riders from Our Lady’s secured the coveted win taking home the winners rugs.  Loreto Balbriggan came a close second…..

A double win it was for the team, who since September last have been competing in the Interschool’s league at Killossery, as the league final took place on Sunday, their consistent performance at every stage of the competition made them the team to beat! Again with tremendous effort, they secured second place for Our Lady’s in the league final much to the delight of their Chef d’Equipe Ms O’ Hanrahan.

Well done to all concerned.
